Install a diode harness (E0VY-11A001-A) assembly in series with the #32 start circuit at the starter relay as shown in Figure 3. This will
prevent transient voltages generated by the starter relay from reaching the EEC processor.
A service fix consisting of a carburetor base gasket with a "heater pill" will be published October 18, 1983. A complete parts list and installation
instructions will be provided in TSB 83-22.
