4-140 & 4-153 HSC OVERHEAD VALVE ENGINE

1.

Rotate camshaft to position A, Fig. 12, and check intake and exhaust valve clearances indicated in chart with tappet fully collapsed. Collapsed
tappet clearance should be .072 to .174 inch.

2.

Rotate camshaft to position B, Fig. 12, and check intake and exhaust valve clearances indicated in chart with tappet fully collapsed.
