Remove belt tension gauge and idle engine for five (5) minutes.
NOTE:
When retensioning a loose belt, it is important not to allow the belt to relax.

With engine off and tension gauge in place, apply tension to open-end wrench so that existing tension on belt is not lost. Slowly loosen alternator
adjustment bolt to allow belt tension to increase to used belt specification 120-160 lbs. (532-712 N).
7.
Torque alternator adjustment bolt to 24-34 ft. lbs. (33-46 N-m).
8.
Torque idler bracket pivot bolt to 45-55 ft.lbs. (61-75 N-m).
