Brake Proportioning/Combination Valve: Service and Repair
1. Use suitable tubing wrench to loosen brake pressure control valve brake tubes.
2. Loosen brake tubes at master cylinder with suitable tubing wrench, then remove tubes between valve and master cylinder.
3. Disconnect brake tubes to brake pressure control valve.
4. Remove two control valve bolts, then the valve.
5. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. Position control valve on firewall with marks facing driver's side, then loosely install one bolt.
b. After installing brake tubes into master cylinder and control valve, install other bolt into control valve.
6. Torque control valve bolts to 10-16 ft lb.
7. Perform system brake bleeding procedures.
