Liquid Vapor Separator: Description and Operation

VAPOR SEPARATOR

Fuel Vapor Separator

The Vapor Separator is installed in-line between the fuel tank and the charcoal canister. The separator prevents liquid fuel from entering the carbon
canister.
As fuel tank pressure increases, fuel vapors are allowed to vent to the charcoal canister, but liquid fuel is returned to the fuel tank.

TWO-WAY CHECK VALVE

Two-Way Check Valve

The Two-Way Check Valve releases excessive pressure or vacuum in the fuel tank. The valve is connected in-line with the evaporative canister and the
fuel tank.
