Steering Wheel: Service and Repair
On 1994 models equipped with airbags, disable airbag system prior to performing service operation as possible airbag deployment may cause
personal injury.
1.
Disconnect battery ground cable.
2.
Remove steering wheel cover retaining screws from back side of wheel, then remove cover.
3.
Disconnect horn and speed control electrical connectors.
4.
Remove steering wheel mounting nut, then steering wheel using puller No. T67L-3600-A or equivalent.
5.
Reverse procedure to install. Torque steering wheel mounting nut to 29-36 ft. lbs.
