Sliding Door Hold-Open Latch: Service and Repair
Rear Latch, Body Side Door

Sliding Body Side Rear Latch Removal

1. Remove the body side door trim panel.  See: Doors, Hood and Trunk/Doors/Sliding Door/Sliding Door Interior Trim Panel/Service and Repair
2. Peel back the plastic weathershield from the body side door.
3. Disconnect the body side door latch actuating rod from the rear body side door latch.
4. Remove the three body side door latch screws and the rear body side door latch from the body side door.

Installation

1. Position the rear body side door latch on the body side door and install the three body side door latch screws.

Tighten the body side door latch screws to 5.1-6.5 Nm (45-58 in. lbs.).

2. Connect the body side door actuating rod to the rear body side door latch.
3. Attach the plastic weathershield to the body side door.
