Brake Shoe: Testing and Inspection

Brake Lining Inspect the brake lining for:
^

Brake fluid, grease, or oil

^

Distortion

^

Cracks

^

Looseness

If any of these conditions exist, replace the rear brake shoe and lining.
Verify that the brake lining thickness is between 1.5-5.9mm (0.059-0.232 inch). Failure to replace worn rear brake shoe and lining will result in a
scored brake drum.
