Brake Shoe: Service and Repair
REMOVAL
WARNING: BRAKES CONTAIN ASBESTOS FIBERS. AVOID BREATHING DUST. BREATHING ASBESTOS DUST MAY CAUSE
ASBESTOSIS AND CANCER,
1. Remove the brake drum.
2. Disconnect the parking brake rear cable and conduit from the parking brake lever.
3. Remove the two brake shoe hold-down springs and the two brake shoe hold-down pins.
4. Remove the upper retracting spring.
