Brake Hose/Line: Service and Repair
Front
REMOVAL
1. Raise and support the vehicle.
2. Remove the brake hose clip from the front shock absorber.
3. Remove the banjo bolt and copper washers. Discard the copper washers.
CAUTION:Brake fluid is harmful to painted and plastic surfaces. If brake fluid is spilled onto a painted or plastic surface, immediately
wash it with water.
4. Disconnect the front brake hose from the left front brake tube or right front brake tube.

wash it with water.
5. Remove the brake hose clip from the wheel well.
6. Remove the front brake hose.
INSTALLATION
1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
2. Tighten the brake tube flare nut to 15-18 Nm (11-13 ft. lbs.).
3. Install two new copper washers and tighten the banjo bolt to 17-20 Nm (12-14 ft. lbs.).
4. Bleed the brake system.
