Temperature Gauge: Testing and Inspection
Analog Instrument Cluster
1. Remove the instrument cluster.
2. Using a jumper, connect the coolant temperature gauge "B" terminal to the battery positive terminal and the coolant temperature gauge "G"
terminal to the battery negative terminal.
3. Connect one lead of the Rotunda Instrument Gauge System Tester 014-R1063 or equivalent to the "S" terminal of the coolant temperature gauge
and the other lead to the "G" terminal of the coolant temperature gauge.
4. Adjust the instrument gauge system tester to the resistances shown in the illustration.
5. If the coolant temperature gauge does not operate as specified, replace the coolant temperature gauge (part of fuel gauge).
