CLEANING
Label the location of the valve tappets prior to removal, if they will be reused. Thoroughly clean the valve tappets in clean solvent and wipe them with
a clean, lint-free cloth.
INSPECTION
Inspect the valve tappet for scratches, nicks, or wear on the friction surfaces.
