Crankshaft: Testing and Inspection

CLEANING

CAUTION: Handle the crankshaft with care to avoid possible fractures or damage to the finished surface.

Clean the crankshaft with solvent, then blow out all of the oil passages with compressed air.

INSPECTION

Inspect the crankshaft journals for damage, scoring, and oil clogging. Replace as necessary.
