5. Use Valve Spring Compressor Adapter Set T92P-6565-AH, Bar (part of T87C-6565-A) and Valve Spring Compressor T74P-6565-A to compress

the valve spring and install the valve spring retainer keys.

6. Remove the valve spring compressor adapter set, bar, and valve spring compressor.
7. Tap the end of the valve' stem lightly two or three times with a plastic hammer to verify that the valve spring retainer keys are fully seated.
8. Remove the compressed air line and adapter used to hold the valve in its seat.
9. Install the spark plug. Tighten the spark plug to 20-29 Nm (14-22 ft. lbs.).
10. If necessary, repeat steps 5-10 of the removal procedure and steps 1-9 of the installation procedure for each cylinder to be serviced.
11. Install the rocker arm shaft and rocker arm assemblies on the rocker arm shaft support.
12. Install the rocker arm shaft support on the cylinder head.
13. Install the rocker arm shaft bolts. Tighten the rocker arm shaft bolts in two steps to 18-22 Nm (13-16 ft. lbs.).

CAUTION:  Set camshaft lobes so that valves are not lifted. Tightening the rocker arm shaft bolts with valves lifted can result in damaged valve
components

14. Remove the mechanic's wire from the valve tappets.
15. Install the valve cover. Tighten the front or rear valve cover screws to 1-3 Nm (9-26 inch lbs.)
