Hose/Line HVAC: Service and Repair
Spring Lock Coupling Disconnect Tool Set
SPECIAL SERVICE TO0L(S) REQUIRED
REMOVAL
1. Drain the engine coolant.
2. Discharge and recover the refrigerant from the A/C system.
3. Raise and support the vehicle.
4. Use a hammer and chisel to remove one rivet head from each of the four rear refrigerant/heater line hold-down brackets.
5. Remove the two bolts from each of the four rear refrigerant/heater line hold-down brackets and remove the brackets.
6. Disconnect the rear heater lines from the main heating system at the engine compartment. Disconnect the heater lines from the rear air conditioning
and heating assembly by loosening the clamps.
7. Use A/C Spring Lock Coupling Disconnect Tool Set T84L-19623-B to disconnect the two A/C tube lock coupling springs at the engine
compartment and at the rear air conditioning and heating assembly.
8. Lower the rear refrigerant/heater lines from the vehicle.
