Catalyst Shield: Description and Operation
PURPOSE
Exhaust shields protect the vehicle body from exhaust system heat.
CONSTRUCTION
The exhaust shields consist of stamped metal sheets which are attached to exhaust system components and to the body.
FEATURES
Exhaust shields are not repairable, other than replacing missing or damaged attaching parts such as clamps and screws, or removing debris that might
collect in the exhaust shield area.
