Intake Air Plenum: Description and Operation
The intake air plenum, located above the intake manifold is designed to increase horsepower over a broader rpm range. By having a larger space
for air to accumulate, the engine has better response when the throttle valve is opened abruptly. This also reduces the pulsed vacuum effect that is
more pronounced with a smaller manifold, allowing more precise control of the EGR valve.
