Horn Relay: Testing and Inspection

1. key OFF.
2. Remove horn relay.
3. Measure the resistance between terminals 3 and 5 of horn relay. Resistance should be 10,000 ohms or greater. 
4. Using a jumper connect terminal 2 of the horn relay to the battery positive terminal and connect terminal 1 of the horn relay to the battery negative

terminal.

5. Measure the resistance between terminals 3 and 5 of horn relay. Resistance should be 5 ohms or less. 
6. If horn relay tests OK, return to pinpoint tests. See: Lighting and Horns/Horn/Testing and Inspection/Pinpoint Tests

Otherwise replace horn relay.
