Seat Belt Reminder Buzzer: Description and Operation
Description
The safety belt warning system uses two warning reminders to fasten the safety belt, a warning chime and a warning indicator, on the instrument
cluster.
Operation
The safety belt warning system operates as follows:

If the safety belt is not fastened when the ignition is turned to the ON position, the chime will sound four to eight seconds and the warning
indicator will remain on.

If the safety belt is fastened while the warning indicator is on and the chime is sounding, both the warning indicator and chime will turn off.

If the safety belt is fastened before the ignition is turned to the ON position, the chime will not sound, but the warning indicator will remain on for
six seconds.
The safety belt warning chime is mounted to the instrument panel directly behind the instrument cluster.
