Ball Joint: Testing and Inspection
Lift the vehicle on a suitable hoist until the front wheel is clear of the floor and try to rock the wheel up and down. If any play is felt, have an assistant
rock the wheel while observing the front suspension lower arm ball joint on the front suspension lower arm at the bottom of the front wheel knuckle. If
any movement is seen between the front wheel knuckle and front suspension lower arm, the front suspension lower arm ball joint should be replaced. If
not, any wheel play indicates wheel bearing wear. If necessary, adjust or replace the wheel bearing.
