Inspect the front wheel driveshaft joint boots for cuts, undercoating and loose front wheel driveshaft joint boot clamps. With a damaged front wheel
driveshaft joint boot, the front wheel driveshaft joint will wear prematurely. Front wheel driveshaft joints should not be replaced unless inspection and
disassembly reveals unusual wear or damage.
Look for leakage in the boot area. A torn or damaged boot will let grease packed around the front wheel driveshaft joint escape or become contaminated;
service immediately to avoid damage to the joint. If during tight turns a clicking or popping noise is heard, possible outboard front wheel driveshaft joint
damage may exist. Look for any unusual shiny spots on any suspension components. A shiny spot indicates a component is bent, worn or broken and is
