Torque Converter Clutch Solenoid: Description and Operation
The Torque Converter Clutch (TCC) solenoid is part of the Shift Solenoid (SS) assembly. The TCC solenoid is located on the main control valve body.
The TCC solenoid is switched on and off by electrical signals from the transmission control module. The TCC solenoid activates the TCC valve which
controls lockup. When the TCC solenoid is off, lockup is prevented. Lockup is actuated when the TCC solenoid is on.
