Drive Belt: Service and Repair
Alternator

Removal

1. Remove the A/C compressor drive belt. 
2. Remove the battery ground cable.
3. Raise and support the vehicle.
4. Remove the engine splash shield.

5. Remove the generator drive belt. 

1. Loosen the generator adjustment lock bolt.
2. Loosen the generator adjuster. 
3. Remove the generator drive belt.

Installation

1. NOTE:  Inspect the pulleys for warping or abnormal wear.

To install, reverse the removal procedure.

Adjust the generator belt.

Adjust the A/C compressor drive belt.
