Air Door Actuator / Motor: Adjustments
Mode Door Actuator Control Rod

NOTE:  If the mode door actuator rod was disconnected during repairs of the actuator motor, follow the following steps to re-install.

1. Initially position the threaded portion of the rod, centered in the rod retainer clip on the temp door crank.
2. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
3. Turn the mode selection control knob (manual) or push the mode selection button (EATC) to the FLOOR position.
4. Verify that there is no looseness in the linkage and there is no air flow from the panel registers. This means the door is tight against the door stop.
5. Turn the mode selection control knob (manual) or push the mode selection button (EATC) to the PANEL position.
6. Verify that there is no looseness in the linkage. This means the door is tight against the door stop.
7. If there is panel air bleed in FLOOR mode or looseness in the linkage in floor or panel modes, reposition the rod one thread and repeat steps 2-7.
8. Close the rod retainer latch on the rod retainer clip.
