Hazard Warning Switch: Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview

INSPECTION AND VERIFICATION
1. Verify the concern by operating the ignition switch and the multifunction switch to duplicate the condition.
2. Visually inspect for obvious signs of mechanical and electrical damage.
3. If binding occurs, turn the steering wheel left or right to release any pressure on the ignition switch and verify that the ignition key is cut properly.
4. If the fault is not visually evident, verify the symptom and proceed to the Symptom Chart for further diagnosis. See: Symptom Related Diagnostic
