Brake Switch (Cruise Control): Service and Repair
REMOVAL
1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
2. Remove the speed control deactivator switch.

Disconnect the speed control deactivator switch electrical connector.

Loosen the locknut.
3
Unscrew the speed control deactivator switch.
INSTALLATION
1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

Adjust the speed control deactivator switch.
NOTE:

When the battery is disconnected and reconnected, some abnormal drive symptoms may occur while the vehicle relearns its adaptive strategy.
The vehicle may need to be driven 16 km (10 miles) or more to relearn its strategy.

The speed control deactivator switch must be adjusted during installation.
