SUBJECT
Seat Heaters Too Hot or Too Cold

MODEL
[NEW] R50 (Cooper), R53 (Cooper S) produced up to 3/2004

SITUATION
Some owners may complain that their seat heaters get too hot, or they don't get hot enough.

CORRECTION
In case of a customer complaint, install an adapter cable to increase or reduce heat output, as required.

PROCEDURE

Adjust the seat to the full forward, full up position, and fold the backrest forward.
Locate and disconnect the white connector for the seat heater (1).

Install adapter cable (1) into existing harness (2).
