Compressor Clutch Relay: Description and Operation

Compressor clutch relay

Function

The compressor clutch relay is used to control the compressor clutch. The relay is switched when the DME switches to ground. The relay switches so
that there is positive on the control line to the compressor.

Installation location

The air-conditioning compressor clutch relay is located in the engine compartment fuse box.

Failure

If the air-conditioning-compressor clutch fails, the air-conditioning compressor does not work either. This means that no climate control is possible.
