Crankshaft Position Sensor: Service and Repair

Replacing Speed Sensor (Pulse Generator)

NOTE:  Read out fault memory of EMS2000 control module, check stored fault memory, rectify faults, clear fault memory.

Turn ignition off.
Remove inlet manifold

Disconnect connector (1) and remove retaining bolt (2)
Remove speed sensor.
Tightening torque: Crankshaft Speed Sensor 9 Nm

NOTE:

Lubricate seal on speed sensor prior to installation.
Read out fault memory of EMS2000 control module, check stored fault memory, rectify faults, clear fault memory.
