Fuel Rail: Service and Repair
Replacing Fuel Line
Special tools required:

Caution!
When working on the oil, coolant or fuel circuit, protect the alternator against contamination.
Cover alternator with suitable material.
Recycling:
Fuel emerges when fuel line is detached. Catch and dispose of escaping fuel.
Observe country-specific waste-disposal regulations.
Turn off ignition.
Release fuel pressure from fuel line.
Release fuel feed pipe from stabilizer bracket.
Disconnect quick fit connector (1) from injector rail.
Plug fuel feed pipe using service tool 13 5 281.
Remove fuel line retaining brackets (1) from engine compartment bulkhead and body floor.
NOTE: To remove the fuel line it is necessary to lower the subframe slightly. Failure to follow the procedure may result in damage to the subframe or
fixings.
