A service action campaign will be conducted to flush and replace the CVT oil. Customer letters will be mailed out this week notifying them of this
Service Action (copy of the letter is included).

While a repair is inconvenient for the customers, it is an opportunity for you to ask them about their MINI motoring experience, answer questions they
have about their cars, and show them the latest MINI accessories.

Customers will be impressed when you return their cars cleaned inside and out and with a full tank of gas. Reimbursement information for the fueling
costs can be found in the Warranty portion of this bulletin.

AFFECTED VEHICLES

This Service Action involves MINI Cooper vehicles with CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission), which were produced from August 13th, 2002 up
to October 23rd, 2002.

In order to determine if a specific vehicle is affected by this Service Action it will be necessary to utilize the "Service Menu" of the DCS (Dealer
Communication System). Based on the response of the system, either proceed with the corrective action or take no further action.
