Brake Hose/Line: Service and Repair

34 32 881 Replacing front left or right brake hoses

Note: 
Read and comply with General Information.
After completing tasks, bleed brake system

Press clutch pedal down to floor and secure with pedal support.

Note: 
The pedal support may only be released when the brake lines are reconnected.
This prevents brake fluid from emerging from the expansion tank and air from entering the system when the brake lines are opened.

Important: 
Grip brake hose at square head (3) to prevent connecting piece from turning in retaining bracket.

Pull brake hose out of holder (1).
Disconnect brake hose from brake line (2).
Installation:

Tighten brake line screw connections
1AZ Brake line screw connections

M10 x 1 .............................................................................................................................................................................................................  14 Nm
M12 x 1 .............................................................................................................................................................................................................  14 Nm

Detach brake hose from brake caliper (1).
Installation:

Tighten brake hose to brake caliper, front
2AZ Brake hose to brake caliper, front

M10 ..............................................................................................................................................................................................................  24 ± 2Nm
