Cruise Control Set Speed Indicator

MODEL
R56 (Cooper, Cooper S) vehicles produced Aug 31, 2006 to July 30, 2007

Vehicles with multifunction steering wheel (SA249)

Affected vehicles: Vehicles programmed with Progman V26.2 (integration level R56-07-08-510)

SITUATION

When cruise control is activated, the set speed indicator flashes briefly in the tachometer display, then disappears.

CAUSE
Instrument cluster coding.

Note: 

The digital indication of the cruise control set speed in the tachometer display is available only on vehicles commencing August 2007 production.
Component hardware does not support this feature on earlier production vehicles.

[NEW] CORRECTION
In case of customer complaint, program the vehicle using Progman V27.01.01 (R056-07-08-520), or higher. Refer to SI M09 01 07 (Programming and
Coding with Progman), Procedure B. Programming prevents the momentary display of the set speed.

[NEW] WARRANTY INFORMATION
Covered under the terms of the MINI New Vehicle Limited Warranty.

Please refer to the latest KSD for all applicable labor operations and allowances.

If the appropriate labor operation is not contained in KSD, then a work time labor operation should be should be used.
