00 11 229 Oil Change In Manual Transmission
NOTE: Transmission is at normal operation temperature.
Transmission oil, refer to BMW Operating Fluids, filling capacity.
Refer to Technical Data. See: Transmission and Drivetrain/Manual Transmission/Transaxle/Specifications/Capacity Specifications
Unscrew oil drain plug (1) and allow oil to flow out completely. Clean oil drain plug and reinstall.
Tightening torque
1AZ Transmission to engine
M12 ................................................................................................................................................................................................................... 85 Nm
M10 ................................................................................................................................................................................................................... 38 Nm
Type: R50/R53/R55/R56
Unscrew filler/fill level monitoring plug (2) and fill transmission until oil overflows. Allow excess oil to drain and reinstall filler/fill level monitoring
plug.
Tightening torque
1AZ Transmission to engine

M10 ................................................................................................................................................................................................................... 38 Nm
