Release chain tensioner (1) (have a cleaning cloth ready).
Tighten Chain tensioner to cylinder head
4AZ Chain tensioner to cylinder head
M22 x 1.5 .......................................................................................................................................................................................................... 65 Nm
Note: Replace sealing ring
Release bearing pin (1) on guide rail.
Tighten Screw plug, timing case lower section
7AZ Screw plug, timing case lower section
M16x1.5 ............................................................................................................................................................................................................ 30 Nm
Note: Replace seal
Installation:
Replace sealing ring.
Release central bolts of inlet adjustment unit (1) and exhaust adjustment unit (2).
Detach inlet adjustment unit from inlet camshaft.
Detach exhaust adjustment unit from exhaust camshaft.
