Ride Height Sensor: Service and Repair
Replacing Rear Ride-Height Sensor

Observe safety instructions for raising the vehicle
Note:
Ride-height sensor holder on rear axle carrier:
Replace nut
M6 .............................................................................................................................................................................................................. 7.2 Nm
Jointed rod to holder:
Jointed rod to ride height sensor / bracket
Replace nut
M6 .............................................................................................................................................................................................................. 7.2 Nm
Holder to upper control arm:
Bracket to control arm
M6 ....................................................................................................................................................................................................................... 6 Nm
Important!
Read and comply with notes on protection against electrostatic discharge (ESD protection).
Necessary preliminary tasks:

Partially detach underbody panelling
Disconnect plug connection (1).
Release nut (2) and remove jointed rod from sensor lever (3).
Installation:
Replace self-locking nut.
Sensor lever (3) must point from ride height sensor to lower control arm.
Tighten jointed rod to ride height sensor / bracket
Jointed rod to ride height sensor / bracket
Replace nut
M6 .............................................................................................................................................................................................................. 7.2 Nm
