MODEL
R55, R56, R57, and R60 with the N16 engine produced 10/21/10 to 12/1/2010
SITUATION
The engine idle quality is rough or fluctuating afier the engine is started.

CAUSE
DME software error
CORRECTION
Do not replace any parts.
Only cars at a current integration level of R056-10-11-511 are affected.
The DME software solution was introduced into production (integration R056-10-11-512) beginning in December 2010.
The service solution is to program the vehicle using ISTA/P 2.40.1 or later.
Note that ISTA/P will automatically reprogram and code all programmable control modules that do not have the latest software.
For information on programming and coding with ISTA/P, refer to CenterNet / Aftersales Portal / Service / Workshop Technology / Vehicle
Programming.
