Removing and Installing/Replacing Both Panels For Rollover Protection At Front Left or Right

54 61 021 - Removing and installing/replacing both panels for rollover protection at front left or right

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove rear side trim panel See: Interior Moulding / Trim/Trim Panel/Service and Repair/Removing and Installing Rear Left or Right Side Trim
Panel

Remove head restraint See: Seats/Service and Repair/Rear Seat - Through-Loading System/Removing and Installing or Replacing Left or Right
Rear Head Restraint

Removal of the panels on the left side is depicted; proceed in the same way for the right side.
Unclip panel (1) with plastic wedge.

Installation:

Retaining lugs must not be damaged nor must the panel be scratched. Replace panel if necessary.

Release screw (1).
