Release nut and detach control arm with special tool 32 1 190 See: Steering/Tools and Equipment/32 1 090 Removal Tool.

Installation:

Replace self-locking nuts
Tightening torque 31 12 1AZ See: Control Arm/Specifications/Control Arms and Struts (Front).

Important!

Support swivel bearing.

Release screw for swivel bearing/spring strut and remove swivel bearing.

Installation:

Tightening torque 31 21 1AZ See: Wheel Bearing/Specifications/Front Axle.

The following components must be modified when the swivel bearing is replaced:

Brake console/brake guard plate See: Brakes and Traction Control/Disc Brake System/Service and Repair

Wheel guide joint See: Control Arm/Service and Repair/Front Axle/Replacing Wheel Guide Joint in Left or Right Control Arm
