INFORMATION
Although the design of the front axle shafts is similar for all MINI models, there are model-specific repair instructions for the replacement of the CV
boots. The appropriate repair procedures must be followed as listed below:

For R55 and R56 models, refer to Repair Instruction 31 60 535 "Replacing both gaiters on left and right of output shaft (output shaft removed)".

Do not disassemble the wheel side constant-velocity joint.

For R50, R52 and R53 models, refer to Repair Instruction 31 60 535 "Replacing both gaiters on left and right of output shaft".

Do not disassemble the inner constant-velocity joint.
