Necessary preliminary tasks:

Clamp off battery negative lead See: Starting and Charging/Battery/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Disconnecting and Connecting
Battery Negative Lead

Remove front left entrance cover strip
Unscrew nuts (1).
Pull footwell module (2) forwards a little.
