Necessary preliminary tasks:

-

Remove transmission See: Transmission and Drivetrain/Manual Transmission/Transaxle/Service and Repair/Removing and Installing
Transmission (GS6-55BG).

-

Remove flywheel See: Transmission and Drivetrain/Flex Plate/Service and Repair. 

Brake off PTFE ring (2) with a drift (1).

Important!

Risk of damage! to crankcase and to crankshaft!
