Necessary preliminary tasks:

Disconnect battery negative lead See: Starting and Charging/Battery/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Disconnecting and Connecting
Battery Negative Lead

Remove complete instrument cluster See: Instrument Cluster / Carrier/Service and Repair
Release screws (1).
Remove speedometer (2) from radio (3).
