Lambda Control Sensors
11 78 510 - Removing and installing/replacing lambda control sensors (N12)
Special tools required:

11 7 020 See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Tools and Equipment/11 7 020 Socket Wrench Socket WAF 22
Warning!
Scalding hazard!
Only perform these tasks after the exhaust system has cooled down.
Necessary preliminary tasks:

Read fault memory.
Installation Note:
If an oxygen sensor is to be reused, only apply a thin and uniform coat of Never Seez Compound (refer to BMW Parts Service) to thread.
The part of the oxygen control sensor which projects into the exhaust system branch (sensor ceramic) must not be cleaned or come into contact with
lubricant.
