Spark Plug: Service and Repair

12 12 011 - Replacing all spark plugs (N12/N14)

Special tools required:

-

12 1 172 See: Tools and Equipment/12 1 170 Spark Plug Tool

-

12 1 220 See: Tools and Equipment/12 1 220 Spark Plug Wrench WAF 14 mm Bihexal

Necessary preliminary tasks:

-

Switch off ignition.

-

Remove ignition coils See: Ignition Coil/Service and Repair.

Important!

Wear protective goggles.
Oil and dirt particles may get into your eyes!

Clean spark plug slot with compressed air.

Unscrew and remove spark plugs with Special Tool 12 1 220 See: Tools and Equipment/12 1 220 Spark Plug Wrench WAF 14 mm Bihexal.

Installation Note:

Tighten spark plugs, using special tool 12 1 220 See: Tools and Equipment/12 1 220 Spark Plug Wrench WAF 14 mm Bihexal in conjunction with
special tool 12 1 172 See: Tools and Equipment/12 1 170 Spark Plug Tool.

Observe tightening torque without special tool 12 1 172 See: Tools and Equipment/12 1 170 Spark Plug Tool.
