Transmission Cooler: Service and Repair
24 11 040 - Removing and installing/replacing transmission fluid cooler (AISIN)

After completion of work, check transmission oil level See: Fluid - A/T/Service and Repair.
Use only the approved transmission fluid.
Failure to comply with this requirement will result in serious damage to the automatic transmission!

No dirt is allowed to enter the oil circuit.

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Drain coolant See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Cooling System/Coolant/Service and Repair

Remove intake filter housing See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Tune-up and Engine Performance Checks/Air Cleaner Housing/Service
and Repair

Remove intake filter housing gaiter.
Unfasten hose clips.
Detach coolant hoses (1) from transmission fluid cooler.
