Remove tie rod end from swivel bearing See: Steering and Suspension/Steering/Tie Rod/Service and Repair/Replacing Left or Right Tie Rod on left.
Remove wheel control joint from swivel bearing See: Steering and Suspension/Suspension/Control Arm/Service and Repair/Front Axle/Replacing Wheel
Guide Joint in Left or Right Control Arm on left.
Press swivel bearing (1) outwards.
Drive out output shaft (1) by striking thread gently with plastic hammer.
Manual transmissions only: Drain and catch transmission oil .
Important!
The shaft seal must be replaced in the gearbox each time the output shaft is removed!
Lever inner output shaft joint out of transmission and remove output shaft (1).
Important!
Different types of output shafts fitted! Do not mix up snap rings.
