Engine Oil Service

00 00 610 - Engine oil service (N14)

The FRU item 00 00 610 comprises the engine oil service incl. supplementary service.
Only the engine oil service will be described in these repair instructions.
The supplementary service is made up of the following operations which must be taken from the relevant repair instructions:

Carry out function check on parking brake See: Brakes and Traction Control/Parking Brake System/Testing and Inspection

Reset service interval indicator according to factory specification

Important!

Perform engine oil service only when engine is at normal operating temperature (>70 °C engine oil temperature).
Observe the exact engine oil filling capacity.
Overfilling the engine with engine oil will result in engine damage.
Inspection and drain-off times must be observed.

Warning!

Danger of scalding!
Carry out work on the vehicle only when wearing oil- and heat-resistant protective gloves incl. forearm protection, face guard and protective apron.

Recycling:

Catch and dispose of drained engine oil in a suitable container.
Observe country-specific waste-disposal regulations.
