Remove the original Cooper S style shift knob by firmly grasping the base of the knob and pulling straight up

Once the original shift knob has been removed, center the Monte Carlo edition shift knob on the shift lever and force it down, with the palm of your
hand, until fully seated.

This Service Action has been assigned code number 14. After the vehicle has been checked, and corrected if necessary, obtain a label (MD 20-013) and:

emboss your MINI dealer warranty number in the middle of the label (1);

b.

punch out code number 14 (2) printed on the
label and,
