Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove rear left/right side trim See: Trim Panel/Service and Repair/Removing and Installing Rear Left or Right Side Trim Panel

Remove inside entrance cover strip See: Scuff Plate/Service and Repair/Removing and Installing/Replacing Front Left or Right Entrance Cover
Strip

Remove adapter plate See: Powertrain Management/Fuel Delivery and Air Induction/Accelerator Pedal/Service and Repair/Replacing Adapter
Plate

Release screws (1).
Remove cover (2).
